The Online Bible contains a number of lexicons. In this article we assume you have installed more than one.
Lexicons are indexed by Strong number. For general information on Strong numbers in the Online Bible, refer to this article: What are Strong numbers and how to use them

It is possible to access a lexicon directly, but normally access will be by clicking a Strong number in a translation.

Below is an explantion how to use the lexicons in the different platforms.

Android and iOS (iPad/iPhone) apps

The Online Bible apps contain more than one lexicon. We suggest you first define which Hebrew and Greek lexicon you want to use as default. Obviously you can change the lexicon when looking at a specific word. For this go to the Info and Settings screen. When selecting the relevant lines a drop down list of available lexicons is shown. Example on Android:

When you now open a translation with Strong numbering (when turned on) you can click on a Strong number and a pop-up will appear with the result in the default lexicon.

This result can also be shown in the second screen. Click in the description within the pop-up window and it will appear in the second screen.

If you want to see the entry in other lexicons, select another one from the drop down list of available books (selecting one in the category lexicon). Again an example in Android.

Mac app

The Online Bible app contains also more than one lexicon. You can choose a lexicon on the left side of the screen:

The chosen lexicon opens on the right side of the screen:

To search for a Strong number in the lexicon, click on the lexicon name:

Enter a strong number and click Done or give an Enter.

When you open a translation with Strong numbering (when turned on) you can click on a Strong number and a pop-up will appear:

This result can also be shown in the separate screen. Click on the four arrow sign and it will appear in the second screen:

In this screen you can select and copy text. You can also click on a Strong number shown in the explanation of a lexicon entry. It is not possible to click on the links if you are in a pop-

You can open multiple windows.

You cannot select a default lexicon for this pop-up.

Windows

The Windows version can also contain multiple lexicons. The favourite is set the same way as for all material - for more information see this article: Setting up the favourites

When you hover with the mouse over a Strong number the definition from the favourite lexicon appears in a pop-up.

When you double-click on a Strong number the definition appears in a separate window, and in separate tabs the other available lexicons are also shown.
